The roars of the sea can be heard in the distance. The sea breeze quietly blows through a garden full of pink flowers. The sea can not be seen. Colours of bright green and pale pink fills up the whole surface. Inside, a blue figure can be seen, as if it's a part of the sky. It is a girl enveloped in sky blue clothes. She's a beautiful girl. Her hair flutters in the breeze. Reflecting is her silver necklace. A silver ring, modelled into a lion, is linked to the silver chain, and wavers at her chest. She was waiting. ---For who? She asks herself. It feels like she has been waiting here for ages. Or was it just for a moment? Time does not hold any meaning. What is important, is to remember who it is that she is waiting for...... ---Maybe there is no one that I am waiting for... Such doubt steals up on the girl's heart. The wind suddenly becomes cold. Sunlight is blocked by ominous clouds. Cold air rushes down as to send her away. In the distant sky, lighting begins to flash a complicated pattern onto the herd of clouds. A moment later, the sky roars like a groaning beast. The wind howls, as to refuse her. With the wind blowing her black hair, she uneasily pulls her hand to her chest. She feels something hard on her fingertips. The lion ring - it serves as her good luck charm. ---He'll come...He will come... So that he can find her what he comes, the girl promises herself to continue to wait for him. ---He exists....And he is aiming to come here... Because, this is the place of the promise. Because this is where we promised to meet again... Suddenly the wind picks up the petals, and dyes her view into pale pink. In the beautiful storm, the girl opens her her tightly grasped fist. What was in it, was a feather which shines snow-white. Holding her thoughts and feelings, it is carried high by the wind. To the end of the sky. To the interval of time. To the person who is waiting, hurt and stray.........

As an intense man who thrives in the regimented discipline of the military academy, Squall finds Rinoa's carefree attitude fascinating. Yet there is no time to ponder these thoughts, for Galbadia's irrational hostility has been linked to a sorceress named Edea, a powerful magic user.
