Talina and Beck in Costa Rica
Thursday, March 18 to Thursday, March 25, 2004
Talina Wood and I decided to travel over Spring Break.
At first, we thought we'd go to Greece, but upon further examination, Greece sounded
too cold and too crowded (on account of the Olympics being held there the coming summer).
A friend of Talina recommended Costa Rica, and despite never really considering Central
America as a destination, we decided to travel there. Because, hey, why not.
Talina was busy with work and I was busy with school the two months preceeding our trip,
so we never really planned out where we were going or what we were doing. I went out
and bought a Lonely Planet guide book (because I had such good experiences using one
during my trip to Fiji) and that was about the extent of our
preparation. Things went well despite our lack of planning, and we ended up doing
a fairly comprehensive tour of the country.
- Thursday to Friday: We arrive in the capital city, San Jose
- Friday to Sunday: Cahuita, on the Carribean coast
- Sunday to Tuesday: The cloud rainforests of Monteverde
- Tuesday to Wednesday: La Fortuna, by the Volcon Arenal
- Wednesday: San Jose, mark two
- Thursday: Departure from Costa Rica
