A Few Words on Miss Hera: high-class, distant, clever, cold
overall: bitter

Miss Hera's Story
A cold hearted, wealthy Japanese-French woman, she bought what some people believe to be the long lost arms to the famous statue Venus De Milo.  Sponser Ryuu Mouen plans to throw a huge gala for oodles of rich people at neutral Gunkan Island, with the main spotlight being the joining of the arms to a perfect replica of the true Venus De Milo.  Of course, the event will be broadcast on worldwide television.  For protection, she’s hired the Miroku Seven, and Akabane to “carry” herself and the arms safely to Gunkan Island.

Miss Hera herself has nothing in the way of special powers or abilities, besides a high tolerance for wine and a refined ability to hold a grudge.  She constantly has a bottle at hand, and she’s almost always in a foul mood-- a really, really snippy, nasty mood.  As far as I can tell, she doesn’t spend much time socializing with any of the other guests on the ship, and she certainly isn’t on terribly friendly terms with her sponsor, Ryuu.

About 8 or so years ago, when she was in art school in Paris, she had a Japanese lover, Kaito, and the two were all lovey-dovey.  But Kaito set himself an impossible dream --to out-do the Venus De Milo-- and in getting lost in it he goes more than a little crazy.  He breaks enough laws to get deported back to Japan, and eventually ends up in Mugenjou.

Left behind and for all appearances forgotten, Miss Hera has plenty of time to stew in bitterness and nurse a grudge, all directed at the Venus de Milo for “stealing” her lover from her.  She hatches the plan to attach arms to the statue, which will in essence, destroy it’s intangible beauty.

To stop that from happening, Clayman hires GB to steal back the arms.

SPOILERS (black on black, so just highlight to read)
Miss Hera thoroughly believed that Kaito completely forgot about her in his obsession over the Venus De Milo.  However, what she didn’t know is that somewhere along the line Kaito addicted himself to heroin.  By the time he got back to Japan and wound up in Mugenjou, he was already too far gone in the addiction for anything to really help him.  Clayman, a friend of his since he was in France, did what she could, but in the end he lost the battle with the drug, and has since been reduced to an existence one step above a human vegetable.  For all that he wanted to go back to Miss Hera, he physically couldn’t.  Seeing this, and the wall art of her that was his last work (recreated courtesy of Ban’s Jagan), Miss Hera finally gives up her grudge.
