Kadzuki's Story
We meet Kadz in volume 3, when he saves Ginji the trouble of having to deal with a gang of street thugs. More precisely, he saved the thugs from Ginji, calling him by his former title "Raitei." Y'see, Kadz knows the extent of Ginji's abilities very well. He was a member of Ginji's former gang, VOLTS. Residing in Mugenjou for perhaps as long as Ginji (maybe longer, I'm not sure), he voluntarily pledged his loyalty and became one of VOLTS' Four Kings, directly below Ginji in the power hierarchy. Aside from MakubeX, he was likely the smartest member of the gang. After VOLTS disbanded, what Kadz did isn't really known, but it is certain that he left Mugenjou shortly after Ginji did.

Kadz may look very feminine (he's actually mistaken for a girl very often), speak politely and in general be very non-agressive, but he is not someone you want to fight. As his handle suggests, Kadz uses thread; a thick, silk type usually employed as koto strings. The length of the string seems to depend on how long Kadz wants it to be, and he keeps it stored in the cat's bells attached to his hair. The string moves as Kadz wills it to, without his really having to touch it. With a thought, he can sew shut a person's eyes and mouth, or weave many threads together into one huge striking rope. Winding someone in a tangled spider's web is not impossible, nor is booby trapping an entire room with razor-sharp string out of the question. He is terribly fond of attaching a single strand to a person and eavesdropping on nearby conversations (from the string's vibrations).

SPOILERS (black on black so just highlight to read)
Kadz's ability, unlike Ginji's, did not result from excessive exposure to Mugenjou's Weirdness, it was trained. He is actually heir to a whole clan who excelled in that particular unusual art. While Kadz was yet a child, his whole clan was murdered by a rival one in a very bloody battle that also destroyed the family's mansion. Before she died, Kadz's mother told him to go to Mugenjou, because all the answers lied there.

With him came Juubei. Besides being incredibly close friends, Juubei is actually Kadz's bound bodyguard. The Kakei family and the Fuchouin family had quite close ties, the successors of each line being bound to each other. It's not said how old Kadz and Juubei were when they met, but I'd guess probably around 7 or 8.

Together with Uryuu Toshiki, the three made up the gang "Fuuga", which held quite a bit of notoriety throughout Lower Town. Kadz dissolved Fuuga upon meeting Ginji, both he and Juubei becoming members of VOLTS. When Ginji dissolved VOLTS, Kadz left Mugenjou, first taking employment with Madoka's rival, then afterwards becoming a specialist in finding out information about Under Shinjuku.

Starting in what will become volume 20, Kadz finds a clue tells him the clan responsible for murdering his family is somehow connected with Mugenjou itself.
