Japanese Potpourri - Last update: 3/ 9 /03

'Cuz drat it all, it's just such a fun language!  It's vastly different from just about anything Western, the writing system is endlessly fascinating, and some of its words are oodles of fun to say.  Look in here to find random vocabulary lessons, grammar points, social customs, and general histories of just about anything Japanese, from samurai to the word "baka."

Typewatching FFVIII    Last Updated: 10/7/02

ooooooo~~... Shaddy's a stalke--::WHAP::.  am not.  I'm a “Type Watcher”, sporradically but avidly (if that makes any sense).  What exactly is that?  Well, it's an offshoot of the science of “Personology” ( it's a science if you turn it sideways and squint a lot, anyway), a branch of Psychology. Put simply, it's figuring out what kind of personality individuals have. The most well known names in this area are Dr. David Keirsey and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).  Being slack at work one day and reading through the types in Dr. Keirsey's book, Please Understand Me II, I suddenly realized “hey, that sounds a lot like Squall...” so of course, I now have to try and Type as many of the FFVIII cast as I can.

The Collection that Cracked Two Floors    Last Updated- 2/ 21/ 04

Seriously, it did put cracks in two separate floors. ^.^;;   Admittedly, they're old wooden floors, but they cracked.  Right now all that's up is the Japanese-language manga part of it.  Mebbie if I get into a really, really masochistic mood, I might try to catalogue all my American comics or, worse, my novels.  ::shudder::
...y'know, sometimes I scare myself with just how bad a book-junkie I am...
