Single-Series Authors
These are the people who have written awesome stuff for one particular series. A few of them may have stories in other areas, but I either 1) don't know about them, or 2) don't think they're quite up to par with the stories for the series listed here. Sooooo, without any further ado, in no particular order:

This stuff has to be some of the most awesome fanfic anywhere. It has the absolute best characterizations of Duo and Heero that I've ever read, and not only that, they make sense in a "real people" sort of way. Soldiers and Fools and all its numerous spinoffs reign as king of all 1x2/2x1 series out there, IMHO. Watch out for Dark Matter, it's an absolutely excellent, wrencher of a story, but it does get very dark at points. Heheh, then there are the juicy, juicy yaoi lemons floating around the bottom of the page.

If Soldiers and Fools is the King in the GW universe, Inferno's Touch has to be the queen. An AU set in present day with the the pilots being firefighters instead (written by a fire-fighter, so it's accurate), it's a great read. It's very yaoi, with even a few lemons in it (it's posted at the GW Addiction, what do you expect?). Of course, Ravynfyre has written some other really, REALLY good non-yaoi short bits, too. I'd read everything she's got. They're worth it.

An excellent set of stories focusing around Squall
and Rinoa. No sappy squinoa mush, just a very well and solidly written
set of stories that tell snippets of how the pair went from constantly bickering
and annoying the hell out of each other to bemusedly, utterly in love. Ace
of Spades is my favorite, an early one where Rinoa just won't leave Squall
alone, and the mayhem that thence results. The ending rocks. The
Birthday Present, my other favorite, is pre-Rinoa. Squall and
Seifer's first sparring match. Heh. Much, much coolness.

While Serapy doesn’t have a whole bunch of stories to offer, they are definite must-reads for all Seifer/Squall fans out there. Intense and somewhat rough around the edges, both Seifer and Squall come off somewhat more real than how they appear in other fics. All of the stories are one-acts, and none of them are very long, but each is well put together. It’s unfortunate that the page has gone static.
