Translator's Notes and Disclaimers

General Disclaimers
- Trigun, Trigun Maximum, and Sai Yuu Ki are NOT MINE.  I only wish I could draw half so well.  Neither Yasuhiro Nightow-san (Trigun) nor Kazuya Minekura-san (Sai Yuu Ki) know I'm doing these translations. Nobody's paying me cash money (though I'd love some gratitude...) for them either.  This is a strictly By Fans For Fans production.

- There is no guarantee on the accuracy of my translations.  I am not fluent in Japanese, yet.  I'm working on it at the moment (yay JET).  Practice notwithstanding, I still find myself having to guess at meanings on far more than one occasion.  If you see mistakes, let me know!

Series Specific Notes
- TRIGUN and TRI-MAX:   Names are going to be different.  I've taken my own tack on romanizing several of the names, most notably Ainpril ( "Inepril" ) and Rem Saybrem ( "Savrem" ).  There are several other differences, just none quite so noticeable.  Why?  'Cuz that's the way the katakana tell me they should be pronounced.  Along the same vein, some names I'm going to keep the same as the Japanese, i.e.: Millie's calling Meryl "Sempai".  "Tongari", Wolfwood's nickname for Vash.  Those just don't translate well into English.  However, I did NOT keep the -san, -kun, etc. endings to names.  Those I shifted to "Mr."

- SAI YUU KI:    Since I haven't yet seen the Sai Yuu Ki anime, I don't know how off my names are going to be.  If they're waaay off the mark, let me know please!  This time, I did keep the -san, -kun, -sama, etc. endings to names this time.  It's just easier to do it that way, and most everybody understands, anyway.  Some things ended up being in both Japanese and English.  "Tougenkai" is a really nifty name for a country, but most people have no idea that's the Japanese name for "Shangri La".  Similarly, few English-speakers would know the actual difference between the "Sei Ten Kyou Mon" and the "Ma Ten Kyou Mon", but I really didn't want to do the whole translation writing things as "Shangri La", or "Heavenly Sutra" and "Demon Sky Sutra".  So, when phrases like that first show up, I just added a short extension in English.  The rest of the times they appear the words will be in Japanese.
